My Story
I am an instructional leader, researcher, and educator with over 10 years in K-12 education across Texas and Kentucky. My work sits at the intersection of curriculum implementation, instructional coaching, and community advocacy. I built Soaring Scholars because I have seen firsthand what happens when teachers, families, and students are left without the right support, and I decided to do something about it.
As an Instructional Facilitator, I have coached 300+ teachers, supported principals in building observation and feedback systems, and partnered with TEA on the Strong Foundations Grant. I led a low-performing campus turnaround through intentional math instruction and have spoken at Region 4, Region UNT Dallas, and a principal cohort at UNT Dallas on STEM and instructional leadership.
I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree at Dallas Baptist University, where my research examines how professional virtue drives implementation fidelity in turnaround schools. I graduated from the University of Louisville, where I was a Division I volleyball player and a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Competition, faith, and discipline shaped who I am as a leader.
I am focused on three things: education, advocacy, and mentoring. Period. Soaring Scholars is where all three come together for the communities that need it most.
"Every student deserves a teacher who is fully equipped, every teacher deserves a principal who actively supports them, and every community deserves a partner who makes that possible."
